Welcome to the guide on importing data into Twikey! Whether you're aiming to import your customer data for the first time, update existing data in Twikey or add new data, you use the import function.
You can import various types of data including customers, agreements, subscriptions, transactions, and paymentlinks and invoices.
In this article, we'll guide you step by step through the process of efficiently importing your data. For each type of import, we provide a dedicated help article link that outlines the specific fields required for that import type.
It is crucial to stick to our templates precisely, ensuring correct header usage and accurate entry of values. The headers must be exact (with the same value and order) as defined; otherwise, your import will fail.
Below, you'll find a list of the articles for each type of import along with a link to download the template file containing the predefined fields.
By following these templates (and utilizing the corresponding help articles), you can easily bring your data into Twikey, making the most of our platform's features.
Anywhere in your Twikey environment you can access the import function on top of the page.
Use the button and select Import.
An import button is also available on each dedicated screen and will redirect you to the global import, selecting the right type directly. Refer to our related articles for more information on how to import a specific type of file (customers, transactions, etc.).
The maximum file size for an upload through CSV file is restricted to 200 Kb. If your CSV file exceeds this limit, you need to split it up.
Updating existing data is achievable through the import function. When updating data, you may find it straightforward to create an export, make edits, and then import it again.
The ease of this process varies based on the fields you intend to update. Some fields allow straightforward updates, while others generate new entries. We offer detailed explanations for each import type in separate articles to help you navigate your options.
(for example: if you update the description of a subscription, the current subscription will be cancelled and a new one will be created)
