How does Twikey handle direct debit payments

Twikey makes recurring payments easy, accessible, and reliable — saving you time and effort!
We automate payment processes, notify you in case of failed payments, and ensure that your transactions are executed securely and efficiently.
Twikey offers the payment methods that best fit your needs.
For companies, a B2B Direct Debit option is available, providing a more stringent and controlled process than the consumer version.

Unrecognized direct debit on your account ?

Most direct debits come from trusted companies such as your energy provider, insurance company, or landlord.
Sometimes, a debit may appear under an unfamiliar name — this can happen when your supplier uses a payment service provider to process payments. In that case, the debit might show the provider’s name instead of your supplier’s.

If you do not recognize a direct debit, you can dispute the transaction through your bank.

Note: Are you a supplier? Twikey allows you to collect direct debits directly from your own bank account!

Disputing a direct debit

Twikey ensures that all payments are secure, but we cannot reverse transactions on behalf of suppliers. Your bank or supplier is the best point of contact for resolving disputed transactions.

If you believe a debit is incorrect or unauthorized:

  • Contact the supplier who initiated the debit to clarify or resolve the issue.
  • If needed, you can file a dispute with your bank within eight weeks of the debit date.

I want to cancel my subscription

Twikey manages the payment process, but subscriptions are handled by your supplier.
To cancel your subscription, please contact your supplier directly. They can stop future debits and confirm the cancellation.
