Your guided onboarding checklist

When you sign up with Twikey, your Twikey contact puts together a personalised checklist of the setup steps needed before you can go live — for example configuring gateways, branding, or users. You follow this checklist from within your Twikey environment, checking off items as you complete them, while your Twikey contact tracks your progress on their side.

This is different from the downloadable Complete onboarding checklist article, which is a generic, print-and-fill reference list. The guided checklist described here is built specifically for your account by your Twikey contact and lives inside your Twikey environment.

Finding your checklist

While your checklist is still incomplete, a banner appears below the top navigation bar to remind you it's waiting for you. Click it to open your checklist.

Only admin users see this banner and the checklist page.

What you'll see

At the top of the page you'll find:

  • Your Twikey contact person, with an option to send them an email or, if they've shared a meeting link with you, to plan a meeting.
  • Your onboarding start date and expected go-live date.
  • An overall progress bar showing how many items you've completed.

Working through the steps

The checklist is organised into steps, each shown as a collapsible panel. The first step that still has something left to do opens automatically; completed steps are collapsed and marked with a Completed badge.

Some steps include a shortcut button that takes you straight to the relevant settings page, so you don't have to search for it yourself.

  1. Open a step to see its individual items.
  2. Read the description for each item to understand what's expected.
  3. Once you've completed an item, check it off. You'll be asked to confirm.
Some items are handled by Twikey rather than you — you'll still see them listed, but you won't be able to check or uncheck them yourself. And once you've checked off one of your own items, only your Twikey contact can uncheck it again — this avoids accidentally losing progress.

Some items also show a Send email button. Use it when the item asks you to notify your Twikey contact once it's done — for example to let them know you've finished a step on your side so they can follow up.

When is onboarding considered done?

Checking off every item doesn't automatically close out onboarding — your Twikey contact confirms completion on their side once everything has been verified. Until then, the reminder banner keeps showing, even if your own checklist looks fully checked.

Notes

If a step or item in your checklist seems incorrect, missing, or no longer relevant to your setup, contact your Twikey contact directly — the checklist is maintained by them, not self-service.
