Generate or activate your API key(s)

Tags:setuponboardingapi

Twikey has set up multiple API's enabling software partners and companies to integrate with their own systems.
As there are numerous ways in which a business can make its customers pay, there are different possibilities. It is possible to activate more than 1 API key.
We always suggest to book a meeting with your onboarding manager, they will provide you with the specific details concerning our API's when necessary.

Go to Settings > API to verify if your API key(s) are activated or read here to learn how to activate it.

Once your API key is active, verify the following:

  • Scope / permissions — ensure the API key has the correct access rights for your integration. A key with too broad a scope is a security risk; a key with too narrow a scope will cause integration errors.
  • Webhook URL — enter and test your webhook URL so that Twikey can notify your system of events in real time (e.g. mandate signed, transaction settled, invoice paid).

Important! Never share your API key by mail. Best practice here is to invite the API administrator as an administrator user in your environment so they can fetch the unique API key.

Our full API documentation can be found here.
