Marking an agreement as signed confirms that all required information and approvals have been received and that the agreement is ready for use.

You can perform this action when the agreement is in one of the following states:

  • Prepared
  • Printed
  • Awaiting merchant approval (documents signed and uploaded again by the end-customer)

How to mark a single agreement as signed

  1. Find your agreement (make note of the state, so use the filters if necessary)
  2. Open the agreement details
  3. Click Mark as signed
  4. A pop up screen will appear with options depending on the agreement type.
  • All required information is filled in
    • For both CORE/B2B
    • Confirms that all mandatory data is complete,
    • For B2B mandates make sure there is a stamp and signature from the bank as well !
  • All required persons signed the agreement on yyyy-mm-dd
    • For both CORE/B2B
    • You can adjust the signature date by clicking the date field.
    • For B2B mandates, some banks require the signature date to match their records. A mismatch may lead to refused collections.
  • Notify debtor
    • For both CORE/B2B
    • Sends an optional confirmation email to the customer.
  • Add PDF document
    • For both CORE/B2B
    • Upload the signed PDF document (optional).
When sending a B2B mandate to the bank for validation, a signed document is required. If missing, the bank may reject the mandate.
    • Uploading a PDF is not mandatory when marking an agreement as signed. You can add or update the document afterwards.
  • Debtor bank signed the agreement
    • For B2B only
    • If unchecked, the mandate will be sent to the bank for validation.
  • Details of the signer
    • For both CORE/B2B
    • If the customer’s name is missing, the following information will be requested:
      • Last name
      • First name
If mandatory information is missing (e.g., name, IBAN), the system will prompt you to complete the required fields before proceeding.
The required document(s) can be uploaded by the end-customer or you can upload them yourself before or during the marking as signed.

How to mark multiple agreements as signed

Marking multiple agreements as signed directly in Twikey is not possible for mandates that already exist individually — this action is always done one by one.

However, when importing a file of existing mandates, you can mark all of them as signed immediately.
For more details, see How to import existing mandates section.
