Just as the name suggests, a customer in Twikey represents a real-life customer of your organization. In Twikey, there are two types of customer: A person-type customer and a company-type customer.
A person-type customer represents an individual person and is represented by a person icon, as shown in the image below:![]()
Meanwhile, a company-type customer represents a corporate customer, and is represented by a building icon, as shown in the image below:![]()
There are various ways of creating a customer. We will explain them one-by-one in the guide sections below.
Regardless of the method, it is advisable to include a customer number. When creating invoices, payment links, and other items through import or our API, using a customer number ensures the correct customer is utilized, thereby avoiding the creation of duplicated customers.
If you're creating a person-type customer, then you must at least fill in the Customer no. field or the Last Name and First Name fields.
If you're creating a company-type customer, then the Company field must be filled.
Moreover, if your company-type customer is based in Belgium or the Netherlands, you can simply fill in the Enterprise number field and click on the magic wand icon (shown in the image below). The Company, Address, Zip, City, and Country fields will be automatically pre-filled by our system.
